XENO//NEST

RAISE THE MONSTER THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DESTROY.

Raise it. Shape it. Feed it hosts. Build a hive.

XENO//NEST is a systems-driven creature RPG in which you take control of the last surviving organism aboard the drifting science vessel Orpheus.

What begins as the care of an incomplete Facehugger becomes a clandestine biological empire involving human agents, corporate infiltration, genetic experiments, autonomous hunts and the birth of an entirely new lineage.

This is not a conventional virtual pet.

This is a virtual pet capable of destabilizing several megacorporations.

The specimen is alive. Every decision changes what it will become.

THE LAST EGG

Thirty-seven hours ago, the scientific cargo ship Orpheus stopped transmitting.

Its main laboratory contains one remaining lifeform: an incomplete Facehugger, isolated from its hive and carrying an unknown genetic signature.

You are the clandestine operator recruited to raise it.

Your instructions are simple:

Preserve the organism. Study its evolution. Trust no one.

Before entering the Orpheus, you must complete a psychological recruitment interview. Your answers immediately alter the creature’s temperament, statistics and inherited traits, defining what kind of operator you will become:

  • A calculating xenobiological architect.
  • A protective guardian of the lineage.
  • An authoritarian protocol director.
  • An apex operator who considers fear another useful resource.

Your creature begins changing before you even meet it.

YOUR SPECIMEN. YOUR LINEAGE. YOUR CONSEQUENCES.

RAISE A LIVING ORGANISM

Feed, train, study, bond with and rest your specimen as it develops from a vulnerable parasite into a lethal adult organism.

Every action advances time and affects interconnected biological values:

  • Health
  • Hunger
  • Energy
  • Stress
  • Aggression
  • Intelligence
  • Speed
  • Armor
  • Acid
  • Perception
  • Loyalty
  • Mutation

Neglect its condition and its performance will collapse.

Push it too far and injuries may become permanent.

Treat it as a weapon and it may become one.

Treat it as something more, and it may eventually choose to remain beside you without being ordered.

EVERY HOST CREATES A DIFFERENT MONSTER

A host is not merely a resource.

Its profession, physical condition, psychological profile, genetic quality, traits and rarity directly influence the creature born from it.

Scientists can produce intelligent and highly adaptive lineages. Marines encourage aggression, durability and combat instincts. Engineers create resilient organisms with unusual defensive adaptations. Psychic subjects may awaken forbidden memories or psionic mutations. Quadruped hosts can generate fast Runner lineages. Yautja hosts lead to the birth of a Predalien.

Select the correct host, calculate biological compatibility and begin implantation.

Your Facehugger will become a Chestburster, inherit part of its host and eventually mature into a full adult caste.

Possible stages and forms include:

Ovomorph → Facehugger → Chestburster → Drone / Warrior / Runner / Predalien → Praetorian → Queen → Empress

Royal evolution is not a simple level-up. It requires specific statistics, habitat development, narrative decisions and genuine hive progression.

HUMANS ARE MORE THAN HOSTS

BUILD A CLANDESTINE HUMAN NETWORK

The humans you acquire do not have to become biomass.

Protect them, influence them and turn them into persistent agents working for the hive.

Create operational cells composed of three complementary roles:

  • Operator: Handles the primary objective.
  • Cover: Controls suspicion and exposure.
  • Support: Improves efficiency and survival.

Role compatibility and personal affinity often matter more than raw rarity.

Send your cells to infiltrate rival organisations, steal biological assets, alter corporate auctions, conceal incidents and prepare future expeditions.

Your agents can develop relationships, loyalty, fear and conflicting interests. They may become double agents, be captured during failed operations or betray the network when pressure becomes unbearable.

You decide how to control them:

  • Pay them.
  • Protect their families.
  • Offer them responsibility.
  • Reveal the creature.
  • Threaten them.
  • Promise them a place in the future colony.
  • Remind them exactly what implantation looks like.

A loyal network can finance your laboratory.

A terrified network can still function.

For a while.

ACQUIRE. INCUBATE. PRESERVE.

OPERATE A COMPLETE BIOLOGICAL LABORATORY

Acquire or steal Ovomorph eggs, place them in incubation and expand the lineage beyond a single creature.

Most eggs contain reserve Facehuggers.

Rare specimens may instead produce an Ocellus, a highly intelligent ocular parasite that infiltrates and controls hosts without following the traditional Facehugger–Chestburster–Xenomorph cycle.

Your laboratory allows you to:

  • Incubate Ovomorph eggs.
  • Hatch reserve Facehuggers.
  • Discover rare Ocellus variants.
  • Preserve complete genetic profiles.
  • Restore previous lineages.
  • Maintain biological continuity after the death of an active specimen.
  • Evaluate and sell valuable organisms through corporate auctions.

A stronger creature attracts more dangerous buyers.

Selling it may fund your next lineage.

It may also be the worst decision you make aboard the Orpheus.

SEND IT INTO THE DARK

AUTONOMOUS EXPEDITIONS WITH REAL CONSEQUENCES

Deploy your creature alone into abandoned ducts, cryogenic banks, biomechanical ruins, hostile colonies and classified research facilities.

Before each expedition, choose its behavioural protocol:

BALANCED

A versatile strategy that limits extreme risks.

PREDATOR

Prioritises aggression, armor and direct confrontation.

INFILTRATION

Relies on speed, intelligence and perception to avoid unnecessary combat.

Once deployed, the specimen acts according to its condition, statistics, caste, habitat upgrades and learned traits.

You do not control every step.

You built the organism. Now you discover what it does without you.

Expeditions can provide credits, biomass, DNA, host intelligence and rare discoveries. Failed missions may inflict lasting injuries, expose the human network or kill the active specimen entirely.

Reconnaissance reveals more accurate success rates and lethal risks, but no preparation guarantees survival.

The deeper you enter the ship, the less human its architecture becomes.

FIGHT OTHER LINEAGES

ASYNCHRONOUS XENOMORPH COMBAT

Generate a genetic transmission code containing your creature’s statistics, caste, skills and biological signature.

Share it with another player and fight their lineage locally—without transferring your complete save file or personal data.

Combat performance depends on more than level:

  • Biological condition
  • Injuries
  • Host inheritance
  • Active abilities
  • Caste
  • Perception
  • Critical chance
  • Habitat bonuses
  • Genetic mutations

Face generated rivals or import a friend’s creature and discover whose experiment deserves to survive.

WRITE THE HISTORY OF THE HIVE

A BRANCHING SCIENCE-FICTION CAMPAIGN

The Orpheus is not simply drifting.

Its records were altered. Its crew was selected. Its cargo was never meant to arrive intact.

Progress through a multi-act narrative spanning recruitment, the ship’s disappearance, competing corporations, biomechanical ruins, the awakening of the hive and the final approach to Earth.

Your decisions influence:

  • Available hosts
  • Rare genetic traits
  • Habitat evolution
  • Corporate relationships
  • Creature loyalty
  • Unlocked expeditions
  • Permanent story flags
  • The fate of the lineage

Will you manufacture the perfect corporate asset?

Break the creature’s conditioning?

Found an independent hive?

Turn the lineage against the corporations that created it?

Or release an organism capable of choosing its own future?

There is no clean ending to the protocol.

Only the organism you leave behind.

DISCOVER THE BIO-ARCHIVES

Unlock a permanent archive documenting collected hosts, discovered organisms and classified protocols.

Study the biological origin and role of every major stage and caste, including:

  • Ovomorph
  • Facehugger
  • Ocellus
  • Chestburster
  • Drone
  • Warrior
  • Runner
  • Predalien
  • Praetorian
  • Queen
  • Empress
  • Specialised hostile variants

Rare hosts, unusual genetic combinations and major story decisions reveal additional archive entries.

The Bio-Dex is not only a collection screen.

It is the record of everything your experiment has consumed, created and become.

CONTENT NOTICE

XENO//NEST contains fictional biological horror, human experimentation, parasitic implantation, creature death, coercion and morally difficult decisions.

No real organisms were harmed.

The human resources department cannot make the same promise about the crew.

ENTER THE ORPHEUS

The last egg is waiting.

The corporations are already listening.

And something inside the specimen has begun listening back.

BEGIN THE PROTOCOL.
